For too long, small healthcare practices across Indiana have been caught in an impossible situation: a federal mandate to achieve complex cybersecurity compliance, but only a shoestring budget to make it happen. I founded Ravendawn Medical Compliance to fix this.

Our story wasn't born in a boardroom; it began with a conversation. In 2025, a local ABA clinic here in Kokomo found themselves in dire need of compliance help. They had the need, and with over 8 years in the IT field, I had the know-how. As I worked with them, my eyes were opened to the widespread struggle of small practices. I saw dedicated people forced to choose between patient care and overwhelming compliance costs, often being taken advantage of by large, out-of-state providers charging exorbitant prices for one-size-fits-all solutions.

This problem became more than a project; it became my personal mission. But passion alone isn't enough to solve a complex issue like this. Fortunately, I had the technical foundation to match. With more than 8 years of IT experience, combined with certifications like Security+ and Microsoft AI, and recognition as a panelist at CampIT conferences, gave me the tools to turn that passion into a real, affordable solution.

The timing was critical. The landscape was becoming more dangerous by the day—in fact, data from the HHS Office for Civil Rights shows that between 2019 and 2023, the healthcare sector witnessed a 256% increase in major hacking breaches and a staggering 264% rise in ransomware attacks. On top of that, new 2025 HI-TECH regulations arrived, increasing the penalties for non-compliance. The need for a true advocate had never been more urgent.

That is why Ravendawn was born, guided by a simple ethos: Need, not Greed.
